Earth Discovery Sessions
We are fortunate to have been invited to meet at Brunel University four times per year, and this is generally on a Tuesday afternoon, 2-4pm (check Events List for planned dates). We welcome anyone who is interested (16+) to join us for these themed discovery sessions. Our members bring specimens from their collections, there are poster displays, lighthearted activities and refreshments!

There is no charge but it is essential to register. Just email contact@hhgs.org.uk to express your interest and we will send joining instructions.

Monthly Lecture Meetings
Visitors are welcome to join a lecture free of charge (please contact us). Regular visitors will be asked to become members. We have kept our membership fees low to accommodate this.

Following Covid we decided to continue to provide lectures on Zoom as this has been very successful. We are able to invite guest speakers from anywhere in the world, our distance-members are able to join us and our less mobile members remain actively involved.
We have online agreements with other local geology groups to share Zoom links for lectures, which is an added benefit to our members.

Zoom meetings are held at 8pm on the second Wednesday of the month. We invite expert speakers give illustrated talks on all aspects of geology, and answer our questions afterwards. A wide variety of topics are covered. Some of these meetings are discussion based and some include field reports.

Daytime meetings are held during the summer. Whenever possible we meet up at local places of interest to walk, chat, and look at geological features. Member's children, aged 14 upwards, can attend these meetings when accompanied by an adult.

Visitors are welcome!
